Soldier Of Allah (S.O.A)

The last Soldiers of Allah album 1924 was their most successful album. The name of the album refers to the year 1924 when "Islamic state was destroyed". The album was recorded before 9/11, but it is supposed that after 9/11 the group became controversial as Islam came further into public awareness in America.

Soldiers of Allah's views in their raps include unifying the ummah and setting one strong khilafah (Islamic state). In their songs they often refer to glorious men of Islamic history, like Abdulhamid II, Saladin, Khalid bin Walid and Harun al-Rashid. They stand against corrupted Islamic regimes, Muslims weak in their beliefs and kuffar. They claim that Islam is complete, unlike Christianty and Judaism ("we have system, they have only religion").
SOA have been quite popular in the Muslim community in the West, and then gained massive popularity in other parts of the world such as the Middle East and Malaysia. They have gained an extremely wide international audience, past just the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and are believed by many to be the most well-known modern-music Islamic group around, a claim which certainly carries weight

QUEST RAH

QUEST RAH
Quest-Rah is an innovative UK Hip Hop MC and producer, blending sharp lyricism with poetry - over ethnic sounds and rugged beats.
He's generating a buzz on the UK hip-hop scene and international underground scene alike with his thought provoking lyrics and interesting production style.
Quest-Rah's music, whilst touching on spiritual, political, social, and historical issues transcends cultural boundaries, and is enjoyed globally by the deep thinker and the simple music fan alike.
Quest started making music, after gathering a large collection of hip hop and wanting to blend elements from different genres into the art form.
After gaining attention and positive feedback on his online pages, and whilst hooking up with another sharp MC named "Scarab," the two teamed up to record an EP named 'Red Alert'.
The album focused on the current"War on Terror" which was at its peak at the time of recording and also dealt with social, and spiritual issues in what some may see as a 'cryptic' or 'indirect' manner. Positive feedback followed, including top reviews from online review sites, and magazines.
In late 2006, during promotion of the 'Red Alert'CD, Quest-Rah got involved in a project with prominent UK hip hop group Blakstone, who were organizing an album, followed by a tour - dealing with the issue of Palestine. It was a turning point for Quest - as he regarded it as work for an important cause, and he thinks no work would contain blessing without a positive cause.
He recorded a track called "The Groves" and also provided a beat, which was recorded and titled "UN (United Neglectors)" and featured Masikah and Scarab.
Now, a few years after the 'Red Alert' project, Quest has released his long anticipated solo project - a mixtape titled 'Quest-Rah : Ancient Tapes Vol.1.'
The mixtape boasts a list of big beats and a host of talented artists providing their support.
The tracks cover many issues in an artistic manner, from empowering of the mind and life in the big city, to describing the run up to the current political climate through Arabian Nights stories and concepts.
There's an empowering track about dreams, a roll call to our youth to stop the senseless violence and much more.

LIFE CONVICT

LIFE CONVICT
"To Live Unknown" was Released in Mid 2004, a Project that began in 2001 of bringing true Revolutionary Hip-Hop to the frontlines.
Two artists/producers from Southern California, [Liquid & Caprice] released To Live Unknown, one of hopefully many albums that will speak about Global Oppression, Masonic undertakings, the Political and Corporate world and to speak with a true Islamic mindset.
Disgusted with the state of what Hip-Hop was in, these two soldiers began writing and self-producing an album with thirteen powerful tracks, to hopefully teach and to motivate people of what the future holds. At the same time, To Live Unknown proves that the underground is sharper than before and people are ready for a Revolutionary uprising. With To Live Unknown in place, the Life-Convicts can show the game that Sex, Money and Drugs are a concept of the past. The true lyricism speaking about political actions in the world today and life experiences with betrayal.
the Life-Convicts come off as a two soldiers that don't have much to lose. The Beat production done on their own for their own label: "No Surrender Records", proves to be some of projects for the Life-Convicts and is regarded as the first step to educate the youth.

Abu Nurah

Abu Nurah "Don't Be A Citizen"
Abu Nurah is an emcee with something to say, in the tradition of the greats like Chuck D and KRS ONE--in short, one of those that grabs the mic with a purpose. He came up in Los Angeles' notorious Pico-Union neighborhood. From an early age, he's had a strong connection to hip hop culture, twice winning his school's annual break-dancing competition. In the mid-eighties, he began to shift his focus to writing rhymes. After high school, Abu Nurah went on to study at Harvard, earning a piece of paper that says 'My momma didn't raise no dummy.'
His debut album, a mixtape titled Don't be a Citizen is a wakeup call as well as a call to arms. Through this seminal work, Abu Nurah promotes a revolution of thought, urging listeners to stop thinking like 'citizens' who don't question what they're told. Indeed, injustices do not just arise from the words of corrupt leaders; rather they are enabled by armies of citizens who directly or indirectly assist the rulers by playing their various roles.
Citizens see the world as 'Us' versus 'Them', while the rest of of us shun nationalism and embrace ideals of justice and human rights for all. What's more, citizens have been programmed to believe that we live in a real democracy and that corporate and special interest lobbies are a healthy sign. They praise our goverment as the world's best democracy, blind to the fact we live in the heart of the beast.

Abu Nurah "Say it Loud"
“Say it Loud,” Abu Nurah’s second outing, pays tribute in title and spirit to the legendary James Brown’s revolutionary song by the same name. As is now customary of Abu Nurah’s work, the album pulls no punches. The title track reclaims the much maligned term Jihad and expounds on the virtues of selfless sacrifice to help the weak and downtrodden.

Another track, “Imagine,” tells the story of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a woman kidnapped along with her three children from the streets of Pakistan only to spend years in captivity in the infamous U.S.-run torture prison at Bagram Air Force base in Afghanistan.

Just as uncompromising as the message is the quality of the beats and rhymes. Backed by contributions from veteran producers like DJ Roddy Rod (Maspyke, Low Budget Crew), the album’s 17 tracks prompt head-banging as well as soul-searching. Emcees Tableek (of Maspyke) and Zulu Sheksta (from Poland) are featured on two of the tracks. Other production credits include Kashmir, The Wayfarers, Maro-One, Sumo Lex, and Umar Jibril. Cuts and scratches are courtesy of DJ Henry C and The Wayfarer.
